Kindergarten!!

Erin is a kindergartener!! She totally loves it. When she got home after the first day, she told me she wanted all day school. (I'm totally not ready for that!) She has a super awesome teacher  and lots of fun friends in her class. This little sponge is going to learn a lot this year. And she is soooooo excited to ride her bike too.

Taking Apart Vacuums

We had a couple of broken vacuums, so I gave Hailey and her friend a few tools and told them to have at it. They had such a blast taking them apart. They still have more to do. I love these girls and their curious minds.

Josh's Birthday

We had some family over for Josh's birthday. It was pretty low key. Josh isn't a cake fan, so I always try to come up with something different every year. This year we did an apricot cobbler with ice cream. It was de-lish. And he got a few things for his bike. Hailey also created something for him. 

We love you, babe.

3rd Grade!

Hailey started school on Aug 17th. I can't believe we have a 3rd grader. She has a super cute teacher that I think will do a great job. They also have a brand new school and a brand new principal, so things are pretty exciting this year. Hailey loves school for the most part. I think her favorite part though is riding bikes with dad.

Erin's Birthday Date

Erin decided that for her birthday date, she wanted to stay home and paint. (Hailey was with some friends). Easiest date ever! And so super fun.

Josh wasn't feeling super well after dinner, so he laid down for a bit. Erin decided to make him a snack to help him feel better.

As soon as dad was feeling better, we got out the paint brushes and had fun this this cute little lady.

Camping at Utah Lake

We took the girls on one last camping trip for the summer. We decided to stay close and went to Utah Lake. We had never camped there before. It was actually really nice. The girls loved riding their bikes in the evening, and the next day we took the kayak out. It was crazy shallow, but we had a good time. We found a deeper place for swimming and had an awesome time. We had one happy pup.

July 4th

We decided (along with everyone else), to hike the Grotto on the 4th. Then we did sparklers at our house and watched our neighbors' fireworks. One of our trees almost got set on fire. Thankfully Erin saw it.

Hailey's Birthday Date

Josh and I have started trying to take the girls out on a special birthday date. They get a special date just with mom and dad. We were way behind this year, but we finally fit them in. Hailey decided she wanted to go on a hike and then to get a frosty and french fries. It was so fun spending an evening with just her and doing what she wanted to do.

Apricots

Our neighbors had tons and tons of apricots, and let us come over and grab some. The girls were so excited to go pick apricots, but as soon as we got there, they found something more exciting.

We then spent a couple of days eating and canning apricots!

And Now, She's 5!

This sweet baby has grown so fast, and is now a passionate, bouncy, sassy little girl.

When Hailey turned 5, I made her a quilt. So I made one for Erin too. She helped me pick out the fabric.

On the night of her birthday, Josh had to be gone, so we decided to save dessert for later so dad could be with us. She requested homemade pizza for dinner, so we put candles in it and sang to her. She was thrilled.

Instead, we had dessert for breakfast. We did chocolate covered frozen bananas!

This year she got to have a friend birthday party. We had 9-10 kiddos over for a water party. I think it was a hit. Water balloon pinata, bubbles with straws, cupcake decorating...

 She was one spoiled kiddo.
