Great Grandma Eva

Sweet Grandma Eva passed away yesterday morning. She is Josh's paternal grandmother. What a sweet lady. She loved to do laundry, and thought movies with talking animals were the dumbest things every created (my favorite memory of her).

We will miss her greatly, but more so, we are excited for her reunion with her sweetheart, Grandpa Mel.

Thank you, Eva, for being such a wonderful grandma and great grandma. We love you!

A Horse Called "Dad"

Recently, Erin has been very interested in horses. She will pretty much stratal any toy and rock back and forth saying "Yee hee." Pretty adorable. So one evening, Dad got in on the action.

First Snow of the Season 11.10.12

We woke up to 8+ inches of snow this morning. So of course we had to play. Hailey loved it, as usual. And I think Erin and snow have a  love/hate relationship.

We helped the neighbor kids build a sledding hill.

Josh kept throwing snowballs into the trees to knock the snow off the branches.

A Leopard and A Ladybug

It always seems to be cold and/or rainy on Halloween, but this year it was awesome. We had our annual "Trick or Treat Lane" in our neighborhood again.  Hailey walked around a couple of times and then got to play with some friends she hadn't seen in a while. She also was a super good big sister and took Erin around to get some candy as well. (It was incredibly adorable, and Erin stuck right with her.) Later in the evening, Josh took Hailey around the neighborhood while Erin and I handed out candy.

Bakers Gubler

I've never made a pie from scratch before, so I thought this year we should give it a try. We picked an extra pumpkin out at the pumpkin patch, and then Hailey and I ventured into the land of crust making, pumpkin cooking, and pie baking.

When it came out of the oven it was a little jiggly still, so I didn't have much hope for it. But to our surprise, it was AMAZING!

Hailey is becoming a pretty good photographer these days, and keeps telling me about shoot ideas she has. Last weekend she wanted to make a big pile of leaves and then for me to take pictures of her jumping in them. So we did....Isaac and Paislee joined in on the fun.
