Happy Father's Day

"God bless you, dear fathers. May He bless you with wisdom and judgment, with understanding, with self-discipline and self-control, with faith and kindness and love. And may He bless the sons and daughters who have come into your homes, that yours may be a fortifying, strengthening, guiding hand as they walk the treacherous path of life. As the years pass—and they will pass ever so quickly—may you know that "peace... which passeth all understanding" (Philip. 4:7) as you look upon your sons and daughters, who likewise have known that sacred and wonderful peace. Such is my humble prayer, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen."

Baby Ian Photoshoot

Two of Hailey's buds have a new baby brother, and we had the chance to take pictures of him. I think they turned out super cute for our first try at newborn pictures. The first two are my favorite.

What did we do this weekend?

We sat in our bed for 3 days watching a "movie" (as Hailey would call it). Friday-Sunday CreativeLive.com had a free live class on studio photography lighting. It was taught by Zack Arias, who is this really great editorial photographer. Luckily it was rainy and cold all weekend, so Hailey didn't insist on going outside. We just migrated all of her toys into our room so we could cook spaghetti and play with her farm, while we watched our class. It was pretty awesome and really informative, at least for me. If you are at all interested in photography, you should check out his blog. He has a lot of info on there: pictures, tutorials, lots of stuff.

Now we just need a "studio space".

Fisher-Price is Brilliant

Fisher-Price has come out with what I think is an amazing toy. It's in their "Play My Way" line of toys. It's a school, a kitchen, a doctor's station, a baby station, and a work bench all in one. And, it's not gigantic or overly expensive.

Hailey got one for her birthday and she loves it. The play center comes with the school station and then you can buy the other stations. Hailey has the kitchen one, and I pretty much eat spaghetti all day long. Sometimes it is referred to as "birthday cake."

It is so perfect. I wanted to get a kitchen one day, but toys-r-us also has this cool HomeDepot workbench, which I really wanted to get her. They are over $100 each and are relatively large. With this thing, we can get 4 different kits for $20 each and she can change it to whatever she wants. Even better, it has storage space for the different kits. I know I'm rambling, but I just can't get over how awesome this thing is.

Drysdale Family Photoshoot

Josh and I were able to take photos for some of our friends in our ward. It was lots of fun. I think it was a great learning experience for us, and the pictures turned out nicely. Here are some of my favorites.

The Kaisers Come to Town

This past weekend my mom, step-dad, and little sister came into town. It was a pretty busy few days, but we were glad they came. We got to go shopping, swimming, partying, and they helped with our yard sale. I'm sure by the time they got home, they were exhausted (disregarding the red-eye flight).

Hailey got to Pops' candles before he did.

Hailey's Birthday Party

We waited until some of my family came into town to have Hailey's birthday party. We went to a park nearby and had an awesome time. We ate kabobs and played on the playground.

One of Hailey's favorite things to do is to play at the playground, so I made a mini playground cake-topper. She thought it was great.

It was fun to have so much family together!
