Playing with Aunt Marley

Hailey loved playing with her aunt Marley. Except for when she got stuck in the basket.

Downtown Boston

Our last real day in Mass, we decided to go visit downtown Boston. First we went the the aquarium (which was rather expensive, but totally worth it). We went with PopPop and Grandma Debi. We all had a blast.

They have a HUGE 4 story cylindrical tank to wind your way around.
It's pretty amazing.

They had a "Touch Tank." Hailey touched a starfish, but she was really more interested in playing in the water than what was actually in it.

While we were watching the Fur Seals, Hailey was more interested in climbing on the benches.

They had a separate jellyfish exhibit which was amazing. They are so graceful.

This one really had lights running down it.
It reminded us of the movie The Abyss.

They had a seal exhibit out front. It was really cool because you could get right up to them. I think there was too much other stuff going on outside because Hailey wasn't very interested.

After the aquarium we went over to the Boston City Market. It was crazy busy. We had some good New England clam chowder (actually in New England!) and then wandered around. It wouldn't have been complete without a stop by Cheers. This isn't the bar that Cheers was based on, it is the bar based on Cheers. We were a little too hungry an tired to truck it down to the real Cheers bar.



On the way back to the car we wandered through town and hung out for a few minutes at the harbor. At the harbor, Hailey found interest in a seagull about her size...we think it could have eaten her.





It was a great way to end our vacation.

The Maki's House

The day after the wedding, we went to play at Brinlin and Darrell's house (they didn't leave to St. Lucia until Monday). They have a super cool house that was built in 1901 or something like that. We had a fun time visiting and taking some pictures.

Brin's Wedding and Reception

Brinlin's wedding was beautiful. They had it at Cape Ann Marina. It was a beautiful day, though a bit windy. We got there a little early so we could go up and watch Brinlin getting ready. That was so fun.

When the time came, Ralph came to get Brinlin and there was no going back!

Ralph walked in, saw his gorgeous daughter and started to cry,
which made Brinlin cry, which then made me and Christina cry.

After the ceremony the family went to take pictures and all the kids got to run around crazy. The guests enjoyed good food and mingling.

Hailey thought the gazebo was pretty cool. I think her bib is a nice accessory.

The Gublers

While everyone was mingling and such, one of the employees of the marina took the kids down to see the starfish. It was pretty amazing. At low tide you can see a ton of starfish, some of them as big as a basketball. It was crazy. Marley was so excited that she got to hold one.



Then it was time for toasts, cake, and dancing.

In his toast, Buzz sang to the newly weds. It was pretty awesome.

Brin's big day was also Margaret and Melvin's 3yr anniversary. They had a little cake and a dance. It was really sweet.

Hailey had such a fun time. She danced a lot and totally wore herself out. Being the awesome mother I am, I totally forgot her jacket, so we had to buy her a sweatshirt because it got pretty cold. The smallest they had was a youth medium, so I just replaced her dress with a sweatshirt. At least now she as a memento.
