When she's tired...

I meant to post this a while back...this was on our trip back from Disneyland. We had a stop in Vegas, and this gal was exhausted.

It's amazing all the different ways she falls asleep.

Hooray For Good Weather!!

It's gorgeous outside today for the first time in forever. Hailey played hard with lots of fun friends.

Picnic, bubbles, chalk, and skateboarding...

Flash Bus Tour '11

Josh and I went to Vegas this past weekend with our friend Mike to attend The Flash Bus Tour '11. It was a one day "flash fest" where we got to learn from pro photogs David Hobby and Joe McNally. It was pretty cool. Some parts definitely better than others. But we think it was a good get-away.

Mike's in-laws live in Southern Utah, so we spent Fri & Sat night with them and just drove into Vegas for the day. Howard and Esther are amazing and very hospitable. We've been able to stay with them a few times in the past and it's always a fun time.

Disney Land

We decided to take a Disney trip before Hailey turned 3 and before I am super preggers. We went with Grandma & Papa Gubler and Aunt Kelcie & Uncle Olin. The trip had it's many challenges with people being sick and such, but overall I think we had a fun time. Hailey had a blast, that's for sure.

We had the "Unofficial Disnleyland Guide 2011." One thing it said was "Don't be disappointed if your toddler spends more time climbing on curbs and benches, then being interested in other aspects of the park." The first thing Hailey did when we got there was climb all over this cool Mickey bench.

Goofy was right there when we walked into the park. Hailey was so excited!

Grandma's favorite ride: Peter Pan. Hailey loved it.

This was her expression through most of "It's a Small World." Then on the airplane back she started randomly singing the song. It was pretty adorable.

Hailey was most excited to see Jesse and Woody. She gave them lots of hugs.

This goat tried to eat her Minnie bow.

I was so excited for Hailey to meet Tinkerbell. But, by the time we got there, she wasn't overly excited. She was more interested in the giant flowers.

Hailey was very concerned with she found Aunt Kelcie in her stroller.

California Adventure has this cool play area with animal tracks, slides, rope swings, climbing areas, etc. Hailey thought it was great because she had free reign for a while. She really enjoyed racing people down the slide.

The trip wouldn't be complete without a visit with Mickey.

Snowed Out

So, this post happened the same day as the previous sledding post.

When we got home, we were all exhausted and starving. I started making sandwiches and Hailey started freaking out. I knew she was overtired and very hungry, so it was to be expected. She told me she wanted muffins. I told her we could make muffins, but would she want some Mac & Cheese in the meantime? She had a cosmic meltdown. She wanted muffins! I tried to explain to her that "Yes, we can have muffins, but we have to make them first. So, if she wanted, she could have a snack while they were cooking."

There was no understanding. Just screaming and crying about muffins. I said "Do you just need to take a nap?" She very defiantly screamed "Nooo!" So I continued to make sandwiches before starting on muffins. About a minute later, Hailey got up off the floor and went upstairs. Josh and I were both a bit confused.

About 10 minutes later, Josh went upstairs to check on her, and this is what he found...

She had gone upstairs, closed our bedroom door, snuggled under the covers and zonked out. I couldn't help but laugh at this adorable thing.

Snow

So, we finally got some snow and we weren't sick! There is a golf coarse near by that has a great sledding hill. We had such a blast and Hailey loved sledding and exploring. We ran into some friends while we were there, and they were nice enough to let Hailey sled with them some. She thought they were the greatest girls in the world.
