Ward Campout

We had a ward campout last month. It was such a blast. The campsite we were at was so nice. There was a pond, climbing wall, kiddie swimming hole, etc. The girls loved it and the weather was beautiful.

Enchanted Fairy Forest

In the spring, I heard about this place called "The Enchanted Fairy Forest." It's out near Mirror Lake, and people go and place little fairy houses, villages, etc. We took the girls (and Papa) one day, thought it would be pretty magical. It's crazy the amount of stuff people have taken out there. (I didn't get pictures of the coolest ones.) We took our two houses that the girls made, but there are some pretty extreme habitats going on. It was incredible and the girls thought it was so awesome. 

Just beyond the Fairy Forest, (where no one else wandered) was a stream and tons of rocks. We spent a bit of time playing in the river bed. Aggie loved playing in the water. Josh taught the girls how to skip rocks. 

We also found a couple of GeoCaches while we were out there. One was in the Fairy Forest, another we had to bushwhack to. GeoCaching is a new found family activity that the girls are really loving.

First Days of School!!

Hailey started 2nd grade this year. (How crazy is that?) She has an amazing teacher. I think it will be a great year. She's already learned tons of things and is having a great time. Math is her favorite.

Erin started preschool the day after Hailey started school. Her first day of school, ever! I thought I'd be emotional, but I actually wasn't. We rode our bikes to school (a lady's house in our neighborhood), and Erin jumped right out and said "See ya!" Preschool has made her so social and independent. She asks for friends to come over daily now.

Josh's Birthday

I'm so totally behind....

Josh had a campout the weekend before his birthday, and he got a big surprise when he got home. A bunch of people chipped in for garage lighting. Josh's dad and brother came over and helped me paint the ceiling and install the lights. (Thanks so much!!) Then on his actual birthday he was surprised with an air compressor and a little creature that Hailey made. Josh isn't big on cake, so I usually try to come up with something else for dessert. This year it was a caramel apple snickers ice cream pie. It was pretty delicious, and rock hard...

We love you babe!
